Lughah: I'jaz Qur'an

Ingat kita dah tahu yg Qur'an tu mukjizat jadi tak perlulah belajar lagi dan cukuplah dgn apa kita tahu selama ni? Salah tu. Sebenarnya, lagi byk kita belajar tentang Qur'an, lebih bertambah kagum, dan bertambah-tambah yakinlah dengan hakikat yg Al-Qur'an ni mukjizat dari semua segi. Hari ni kita jenguk satu aspek saja, iaitu mukjizat Al-Qur'an dari segi bahasa. Ertinya, ketinggian gaya bahasa Al-Qur'an, dan kandungannya, dan penyusunannya, tak mampu dicabar, hatta oleh org Arab pd zaman Nabi sendiri. Nak tahu hebat tak hebat org Arab dulu dari segi bahasa?

Before the beginning of Muhammad’s call (peace be upon him), the Arabs had attained the highest level possible in eloquence, fluency, and the art of speech. The word itself was dear to their hearts and more sacred than almost anything else, so much so that they would hang the seven best poems on the door of the Ka`bah, the most sacred place to them...The poem wielded great power in Arab society. The status of a tribe could diminish simply because a poet ridiculed it. Likewise, a tribe’s status could be elevated by a poet’s exquisite praise...So that the miracle of Muhammad (peace be upon him) could be more powerful and more evident, Allah made it a miraculous book to be recited, coming from an illiterate man who had never written anything in his life nor learned any science or art from another.. source

It is a well known fact that the Qur'an was revealed in seven ahruf (or seven forms) to facilitate greater understanding of it among the Arabs who had different dialects. This was also to challenge them on their own grounds to produce a surah like that of the Qur'an. The challenge became more obvious when none of the seven major tribes could imitate it even in their own dialects as no one could claim that it was difficult to imitate due to it not being in their own dialect. source

help, gather strength

Minggu kedua semester. Roller coaster.
When my father saw such tired face he said:
Wah, must be collecting a lot of pahala today? :D
-Sungguh berbaloi hidup seseorang tu -altho keletihan- if what he does was collecting ajr all day long kan..

Enough said, we are tired but there's just too many offers of thawab to let go. And at times of ups and downs, our 'alaqah (relationship) with Allah is very important. yasurruna muqabalatak ya rabb!

of dars

Mulakkhas of today's Dars: If there's a gift, the BEST gift that Allah is going to give us, that is the QUR'AN. The essential of everything is in the Qur'an. Being close to this Book will help us in this dunya and akhirah. With Qur'an, we may become the richest & the happiest person alive; and that is because we have this Jannah in our hearts*. So never give excuses between us and the Qur'an. We might think that we don't have enough time for it but actually, we never will have enough time - it is up for us to MAKE some time & initiative!

*Those who have jannah in their hearts will never care what other people says about them, or do towards them. When the Qur'an is in the heart, it becomes calm (mutma-inn), strong, and unshakable. Ala bidzikrillahi tatma-innul quluub?

p/s: By Allah, the journey of memorizing Qur'an is totally good and refreshing for the soul. So if we have ever given up memorizing Qur'an, this is the time to give ourselves a second chance. Because if it's not now, then WHEN? when, ya syabab?
